Welcome to Saltaire Alpacas! We breed huacaya alpacas of all colors -- even white! Jim and Pattey Bleecker began their alpaca adventure in 2002 with the purchase of 4 female alpacas. Their farm is now approaching 25 animals on 5.25 acres in Clinton, Connecticut, a town equidistant from New London and New Haven on the Long Island Sound.

We are members of the national alpaca owners association (AOBA) as well as the regional association, NEAOBA, of which Pattey is currently serving as President. We also are founding members of the Alpaca Institute of CT, a group of local breeders working to bring quality seminars to the New England region.

Diverse bloodlines... We have Alianza lines that include Bueno, Hemingway, and Drambuie. We have Accoyo lines such as Legacy, Augusto, Vengador, and Felix. Colorful bloodlines including Request the Best, Black Magic, Matador, Axtion Jaxon, and Macusani. We have many ribbon-winning alpacas!

Services... We offer breeding males for stud, females for sale, agistment, and before- and after-sale support.

Farm visits... Our farm is open to scheduled group visits as well as private appointments by people interested in learning more about alpacas. We can give lessons in handspinning, felting, and knitting.
