Saltaire's LivingstonLivingston is out of our strongest dam, Castano's Autumn Joy, who herself is from our most prolific lines. Livvie's dam is a Reserve Light Color Champion at NAAS 2005. Thelonious, his dam's half brother out of the Lemay, also has been winning ribbons in the show ring and is a working herdsire. His bloodlines include Drambuie and Legacy, a solid combination of Accoyo and Alianza genetics.
Livingston's sire is AML/PH Legacy's Legend co-owned by Parris Hill Farm and Spring Pond Farm. Legend is a multiple ribbon winner and is consistently producing show-quality crias. Like his sire, Livingston stands tall and proud and has amazing bone. We often call him "Tank" because he looks like he's built tank-tough!
His light fawn fleece has incredible staple length and beautiful, buttery handle. It's super dense and parts easily, showing wonderful bundling. He has high amplitude, high freqency crimp that exhibits good uniformity throughout the blanket and extends up his neck, into his tail, and down his legs.
At his first show, Livingston placed 4th out of 14 in the light fawn weanling class. We were the only small farm to make the cut in that class and we were surrounded by A. L. Paca (1st and 3rd), Maple Brook Farm (2nd and 6th) and Cas-Cad-Nac animals. Not bad company! Judge Amanda Vandenbosch pointed out Liv's stocky frame, excellent bone, and beautiful fleece with excellent architecture and handle. Liv has done on to ribbon consistently in almost every show in which he's been entered.
